Braves are only 8 hours away and are the team of the South. TBS was a huge part as well.

My dad was in the pipeline business so when I was growing up we spent a lot of time in H-town during the Summers. We typically did the water park/amusement park by the Astrodome during the day and would catch Astros games at night. It was glorious as a youth.

However, in Monroe, we watched nothing but Braves games on TBS so I kind of felt like they were America's team like the Cowboys.

Based on what I’ve seen, the Astros were generally trash from the late 80s on and the distribution network of games sucked.

At that same time, the Braves and Cubs were winning and had national distribution on TBS and WGN.

It is hard to keep interest going hundreds of miles away from a team when it is hard to watch them, both opportunity-wise and as a comment on the product.

it’s a shame MLB forced those two teams and the White Sox off of their superstations…

Miss the radio and tv broadcast of every game
Not sure why channel 38 switched to Rangers only games, the Rangers are awful and I much prefer the National League

Considering the Rangers and Astros are both AL teams now, it is conflicting territory.

Having them in different leagues meant both could broadcast all across Texas and surrounding states. Putting them both in the AL meant they were fighting for the same pie.

because people don't like unapologetic arrogant a-hole cheaters.

And yes, it was cheating because of the use of technology. Yes, everyon steals signs. What the Astros did was far above that. They were even warned and didn't quit. frick off.

Astros weren't only ones doing it
They got caught and players should have at least been fined if not suspended

Cora and Hinch have no business ever being involved in game again yet both are managing elsewhere
They should be banned liked Rose was

Other teams were using tech to steal and relay. At that point it doesn't matter.
