They say it because it's true. Who has won the NBA championship the last forever?

Spurs, Heat, Heat, Mavs, Lakers, Lakers, Celtics, Spurs, Heat, Spurs...

How many of those guys were led by young talent that had never been on the big stage before? Not saying there won't be an anomaly, just that it rarely happens.

It's been rarely won without more than one star.

The Hawks are a collective star. Like Captain Planet.

Yes. After our mission of NBA domination is over Mike Muscala is gonna don the Orange vest and will be seen picking up cigs on the side of 285.

What awful logic, we'll Atlanta hasn't won a title before so no way they can win it this season

It's really not. Over the past 30 years there have been 7 different franchises to win NBA championships. If history is to repeat itself, Houston stands the best chance to win as they won 2 back in the 90's. In no way is it impossible, just improbable when you couple the superstar argument along with the "been there before" argument. Good new is if you win, you are probably going to win another one fairly soon. Betting against the odds would be considered awful odds.

Except history clearly dictates that stars dominate the championship count.

Tim Duncan, MJ, Olajawon, Shaq, Kobe, and Lebron have been responsible for nearly every championship of the past 25 years. That's 6 players for 25 years. If you don't have one of those players, odds are against your team.

Because the world is trying to deny The King what is rightfully his.

42 points
13 rebounds
11 assists
3 blocks
4 steals

Saw an interesting stat that Lebron teams have never won Game 1 of a series on the road. I believe the record is 0-8.

Everyone saying LBJ is a bitch are the same people that would do about anything to have him on their team, because who doesn't like going to the finals

Well, it's simple really.

Vegas knows that the majority posters on the MSB on TigerDroppings.com are all die-hard, fans since birth, ride or die Miami Heat,,,,,errr Cleveland Cavs fans. So to really rustle some jimmies, they made the Hawks the favorite.
