That’s what I was thinking. I guess he was shallow to keep the run from 2nd scoring on a base hit.
Well, obviously. But a single only ties it. Hell, with 1 out, he may have been held up at 3rd right there. But a line drive over his head and it’s tied and the series winning run is standing on 3rd.

Barger displayed zero situational awareness getting that far off of second on a line drive. Hernandez always hustling, made him pay. Great game. Gotta love a 7 coming up.

The bats are just freaking dead. It's amazing this is going 7
It’s laughable how badly they’ve been outplayed, and it’s insane this series is going 7.
I assume Bieber will be first man up if scherzer falters.

What do you want him to do? If that drops and he doesn’t score he’s mother fricked too. It took an insane pick between the legs to even get him out by like three inches. He has to be aggressive to score if it lands and it took two very impressive defensive plays to get him by half a beat
That batted ball had a .710xBA. It’s a hit so many more times than not. Incredible positioning and play by the Dodgers

Which call are you referring to?

I love Papis pronunciation of "Yamomoto" as well as his admiration for him

Stuck ball call was terrible - should have reversed it and given them a triple and a run. Ball could have easily been picked up.
Ball was lodged. It has nothing to do with it being able to be easily picked up or not.
And I'm pulling for the Jays...

Kike always seems to come up big in the playoffs. He's like a luck rabbits foot. Keep him around, good things seem to happen.

Dodgers have not hit the ball at all this series. This is when things start trending back to the statistical mean. Jays had their chance but didn't do it. Dodgers bats explode tomorrow. Can't keep them down for all 7.

Agreed. He plays the game the right way and his veteran instincts schooled Barger on that last out. And I really like Barger as a player… he reminds me of Ryan Klesko at the plate, although his hands get more extended than Klesko’s did. Barger will be a great one, but he got schooled in baseball 101 by Hernandez last night. FREEZE on line drives.
