I don’t think you’ve ever made an opinion here that I’ve read and agreed with.

Here’s an idea, end the playoff and go back to the motherfricking BCS

Possibly

Bowls these days are pointless and I’ve lost all interest in college football outside of LSU games. This may be something to add some spice back into the game with the playoff setting.

I have always been against a playoff because I knew it would continue to get expanded. However, we are never going back to simply a 1v2 championship game.

The solution is bring back some form of the BCS, an 8 team playoff but give the conference champion of the SEC, B1G, ACC, and XII automatic bids then the highest 4 other ranked teams make it

There is no way an 8 team model with “at bid” slots will ever work again because of corruption. If 2 BIG and 2 SEC teams get those slots then the rest of country will whine. If you give them to SMU, UCLA, Boise, and UCF then the SEC fans will scream about so called strength of schedule. And I haven’t even touched on preseason polls that skew perceptions.

UGA just beat GT in 8 overtimes and got trounced by ND in the playoff yet preseason polls have them ranked in top 4 ahead of the team that whipped them. Those polls are what is wrong with the sport. Not expanded playoffs. Play the games and see who wins. Don’t let teams coast by for beating South Carolina types.

Bunch of people on here called that the conference champs were going to be eliminated.

Greed and eventually private equity ruin everything about college sports. We’ll always have 2019, the last true season.
