Leinart > White

And usually you have to finish the 4th quarter for a game to be over.

Lol LSU's defense was fricking unreal that year. #1 in the land with an NFL player at all 4 positions. Kyle Williams, Lavalais, Spears, and Hill were unfrickingstoppable.

We lost the one game our offense fricking blew it and our starting FS was out.

We had a common opponent in Auburn and LSU held Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams to negative yards or something absurd like that. We held one of the nations best offenses in OU to 150 yards in that title game.

We slept walked against UF that year and they had some talent to bite us in the arse. No way we lose another one after that.

And SABAN was very good that year about this......... LSU'S LINES would have DOMINATED USC'S lines in the 4th quarter..............

these threads always comes back around to two teams.

...and no one has a crystal ball...so nothing is FACT.

Only common opponent - Auburn

USC @ Auburn 23-0
Auburn @ LSU 7-31

Seems pretty even.

And I don't know how you can post with a straight face Peej...that '78 Bama would beat USC - when they played @ Legion Field and USC won 24-14. In fact, I don't even know why that was listed as a hypo...it's not a hypo - that one is FACT and we know the answer.

The reason why I would take USC is LSU didn't have anyone for Mike Williams

Research? not even once.

you'd be wrong.

-lost to Penn State in the National Title @ the Fiesta Bowl in 1986.

-lost to Notre Dame in South Bend, 1988.

-lost to Florida State in Tallahassee , 1989.

-lost to BYU and Notre Dame on the road in 1990.

- I'm not saying they would have lost to Washington in 1991, I don't know much about Washington.

Miami didn't lose much during that stretch but when they did, it was on the road.

They beat #9 Alabama in The Sugar Bowl in 1989

right, and that Bama squad wasn't THAT good. Miami should have blown their doors off but ended having a harder time than you would think. Alabama had an average secondary and they couldn't really run with Miami. Alabama had a QB in there who threw more interceptions than touchdowns that year, he wasn't even the original starter.

Alabama did put a lot of pressure on the QB though and were led by Keith McCants who had a monster year in 1989, he was an All-American. But this wasn't a Bill Oliver coached defense so while they were good at times, they never reached the level that their defenses did the following years after that loss in the Sugar Bowl.

Nebraska 97 would have beaten Michigan, and it would not have been close. That team ran against anybody at will, and Woodson would have been irrelevant.

I'm not trolling. I think USC would wipe the floor with LSU in 03.

We had that 1st team All-American cornerback Corey Webster. He was kind of good at football.
