Marcin Gortat who is shooting 59%.

well this obviously makes him the best center in the league

Not by any stretch, but he's quietly have a damn good season out in Phoenix. He's a single rebound away from averaging 15.5 and 10 so far this year.

Utah has a nice big man quartet brewing with Jefferson, Kanter, Millsap, and Favors. If Kanter and Favors develop on schedule, they have a beastly arse frontline.

Varejao

Let's see what happens if you ask Varejao to be the go to guy...Yeah think about that for a second, Anderson Varejao asked to carry the offensive load for a team.

No way in hell you can think Varejao is better and not be on something

Millsaps is having a great year....but he does nothing better than Kevin Love.

his PER is better because of his insane FG%.

he doesn't have to take a high volume of shots like Love does.

Love doesn't have to either. Other guys aren't shooting as well as they could be because he's taking more shots than he should, when other guys need some shots as well to get into rhythm.

How is this even a question? it's Dirk

I gotta agree with this. He still has the total package for a PF. Just cause his team is not as GREAT as most want. There is NOT a PF in the league that can compare the TOTAL package that Dirk can. FACT. And before anyone says it. SCREW YOUR STATS.

well when they matched up against each other the other night Millsaps held him to 4 baskets inside the arc, for 15 points. Millsaps had 26 on 12-18, outrebounded Love, and added 4 assists to boot.

Dirk is my boy, but his average defense prevents him from being the total package. Granted he is total package offensively, but not as an all-around player.

Verajao is absolutely terrible at creating any kind of shot for himself. I mean horrible. It was difficult watching him try back when the Cavs were still my team. He fed off of Lebron nicely though and plays some good hustle defense

Its definitely debatable, but Im going with Dirk. What he did in the playoffs last season was amazing.

This might be out of left field.. but how about L. James? He plays the 4 quite a bit (with Bosh sliding over to C). He has the size for it and is a huge mismatch for any current 4 to cover. Wasn't he the PF on the olympic team (with Anthony playing SF)? I think it might be his more natural position. He is impossible to stop on the drive, has a decent jumper and he might take less 3's. He'd be my pick.

This thread is stupid. It is Dirk hands down. If you are technically talking about "right now" then Bosh because he has been on fire the last five games.

you named one thing Milsaps does better than Love, and even that is debatable. How in your own mind can you call him better if all he does is defend better, according to you?
