No he's not. We're not talking about pro prospect here.

I'm probably in the minority, but my serious answer is Robert Woods.

Dude has that "quick twitch" you can't teach. Like DeSean had.

He's completed 71% of his passes for 26 TD and 5 INT and is leading an undefeated team.

He led his team to a 12-1 record and BCS victory last season, the school's first, and is 9-0 this year.

Alabama went 14-0 two years ago with a completely different feature back. If Bama had just Eddie Lacy last night AND Andrew Luck, how badly do you think they beat LSU? If Stanford has Richardson and McCarron, do they go 21-1 over the last two years?

Luck is without a doubt the best player in the country.

so the argument for best player is really an argument about who has the best backup?

I think a case can be made for blackmon

I just think TR is an absolute beast though and if there was a lottery/fantasy draft in college football to start my team I would take TR with the first overall pick

It shows that RBs aren't difference makers like QBs. Luck has been statistically elite, wins with Stanford talent, and is the unanimous #1 pro prospect. Richardson is the best RB, but he's not a better college player than Andrew Luck.

Luck is awesome but I'd rather trent. This isnt MVP or anything just the best player and i think TR is the best

Lacy was a big time player out of HS so saying TR's back up blah blah isnt really a great arguing point IMO.

The point went over your head. Bama wins with Fowler, Lacy, whoever last night at RB if they have Luck. He impacts the game much more than Richardson.

Why is Richardson the best player? What's the reasoning? Could Alabama not win without him? Is it purely statistical?
