The Lakers team that went 16-1 in the playoffs. Without a doubt.

They had elite defense and 3 pt shooting. You're underestimating dirk. I forgot about 01 lakers, they're the best, but I'd take those mavs over any of these heat teams. They had to make a rule because dirk was so effective that year

02 Spurs were pretty good

And what about the 06 Mavs? They were a monster all season long but where stunned by Golden St in the 1st round. There's no denying that they were a great team though. You gotta be pretty good to go 67-15 in the reg season.

I don't think non title teams should be considered. But that team was great

The 2000-01 Lakers went 16-1 in the playoffs. Shaq was unstoppable and Kobe had emerged already.

2013 Heat shouldn't even be in the discussion. Regardless that this is the weakest playoff field I've ever seen, Miami currently is totally carried by Lebron....Wade is regressing and Bosh just disappears at times

I don't even consider the regular season really. 2011 mavs had to be better than the 06 mavs who were also good. In '11 they never went to a 7th game, swept the lakers, went 4-1 against the thunder. Dirk was ill and they still ousted miami 4-2. Team pissed of everyone.

2001 Lakers

16-1 record

28 year old Shaq averaged 30/15 throughout the playoffs. 22 year old Kobe averaged 29/7/6 in the playoffs. fricking ungodly duo at the time.
Combine all that with a stout cast of role players (Horry, Fisher, Fox, Grant and Harper) and ill take that team against anyone, including the past couple of Heat teams.
