He did nothing wrong at all

Lebron didn't hold a TV special. ESPN did. they hyped free agency to death, and were putting this on regardless.

Do you people blame the kids who do the hat thing for National Signing Day?

I don't like the whole spectacle he made of it. The hour long special on ESPN was one of the most egotistical things I've ever seen.

But as far as going to the Heat, I see nothing wrong. He's taking LESS money to try to win a championship.

That is admirable.

frick the Miami Heat. frick LeBron James. frick ESPN for allowing a single man to dictate what was on their screen that night.

It was wrong. LeBron doesn't owe the Akron/Cleveland area shite as far as playing there. We can agree on that. But does he really feel like he did the right thing stabbing Cleveland in the face on national TV? I think a phone call to Cavs management or the ESPN "Breaking News" surely would've sufficed as far as heartbreak goes. He owes that city an apology for how he handled himself. He's so worried about the LBJ brand that everything he does has to be publicized, broadcast, whatever. It makes me sick that THIS is one of the guys kids this generation are going to idolize.

Have a great time Heat bandwagon, I hope your new "king" blows out his knee and has his career ruined for how he's handled himself these past 24 hours.

Why did Lebron have to make his announcement seperate from the other 2 of the big three? He has too big of an ego for dwade, I could see this thing failing.

I agree with all of this exept for the knee. That would just give him and all of his dick-lickers another excuse. I would rather watch him continue to lose in the playoffs and listen to all of the Jamarcus-like excuses.

frick that punk-arse bitch.

Call me old fashioned, but I agree with Jeff Van Gundy. James should have made a phone call to Dan Gilbert and tell him of his decision before that silly assed t.v. special. Just common courtesy considering the circumstances.

Of course, he is free to play with whomever he wants. No problem there. However, I will point out that Magic, Bird, Jordan, et al, all stuck it out with their team to win a championship.

But I do believe this entire spectacle, while creating some interest, isn't in the long term interest of the NBA.

I am saying what I said on another thread.

Lebron pussied out. It's not that he did anything wrong, but he just pussied out...and to an extent so did Wade and Bosh.

The dude knew he couldn't beat that duo on South Beach, and rather than lace em' up, he decided to join them.

Wade has a ring minus Lebron. He rallied the troops while in a hole against Dallas.

MJ hung around til he finally got by the Pistons. Kobe stayed in LA til the Lakers finally got to the top without Shaq.

But not Lebron...

I love Lebron, but I agree with all this. He didn't do anything morally wrong at all, but I think it's disappointing as a competitor. It seems like he's taking the easy road--a shortcut. And I think any championships they will in Miami will ring much more hollow than if he'd have won them in Cleveland. Or even New York or Chicago to some extent.

so by yalls definition Russell Shepard and all the recruits he tried to get to come to LSU aren't "competitive" because they want the best players to come to LSU to win titles.
