Russell, Chamberlain, and Bird are the only players to win MVP in three consecutive years

If we count NCAA as part of prime Kareem has to be it. Kareem can arguably be called GOAT HS NCAA and NBA player of all time. I won’t call Kareem GOAT if NBA but it can be argued.

It's Shaq.
No player I've ever seen forced teams to gameplan him like Shaq did. He was on another level with the Lakers and Miami won the title because they essentially had an extra man on offense due to Shaq still drawing double teams. They should have won it the year before too but had nagging injuries late in the season.
Another low-key contender is Walton with the Blazers before injuries took him down.

Grant hill only made first team all nba 1 time. Not even really close to the others mentioned.
-First rookie to lead an NBA All-Star fan balloting
-First rookie in any of the 4 major sports to lead all-star fan voting
-Second season: led All-Star voting beating out MJ
-Led the NBA in triple-doubles 96 season
-First player since Larry Bird in 89-90 to average 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in a season and again led the NBA in triple-doubles 97 season
-Joined Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor as the only players in NBA history to lead their teams in scoring, rebounds, and assists more than once
-Grant Hill and Chamberlain are the only players in league history to lead their team in points, rebounds, and assists per game 3x
I'm just sayin: that's about as good a case for best prime as it gets and Hill was probably cresting as the 20th Century ended before the ankle injury so if that wasn't actually his prime, that's pretty legendary.
