Did Bama beat the #4 team in the nation?

Did Bama beat any top 10 team?

I know it won’t happen. However, in real world committee situations, this happens so often. Two candidates that are close and would leave lots of angry folks and some third party that doesnt upset too many folks wins. It makes life easy. That’s UCF.

ETA: every argument for one of Ohio State or Alabama can be countered by another. It’s just whichever criterium you like best. It’s masturbation without orgasm, completely pointless.

Well, if you're not in the top two in your own conference you can't subjectively say you're top four in the country.

Well that's just not true.

UGA lost to the same team Bama did and was only in the conference championship game because they were in the opposite division.

If Bama was in the east, they would have played Auburn today.

The committee could straight up say oh st is in bc they won the conference and no one will complain. Bama will only be pissed off. Rest of the world would agree

Why can't college just go straight playoffs and leave this subjective opinion out of it

Bcs was better in my opinion

did Bama get beat by 31 points to Iowa, does Bama have two losses?

Ohio State got in last year and wasn't the Big ten champ. Keep hating, love your envy of Bama.

It's Bama. They didn't get destroyed by 7-5 Iowa

But who did they beat

To win a championship you have to beat teams, not lose to good ones

So who did Bama beat to prove themselves?

People are gonna come in here and try to tell you that this year is somehow different.

I agree with you completely. Conf champ obviously wasn't the deciding factor last year, so I'm unsure how people can say the committee will use that as a reason.

Ohio State had 3 top ten wins last year (one being the Big 12 champ). 2 being on the road. Bama doesn’t even have a top 15 win this year.

The differences aren’t hard to see.

UCF and USC won a conference. They both have equal to or less losses than Ohio State.

And not have two really bad losses.

Bama beat the teams that were on the field in front of them, except 1 on the road who was a playoff contender.

tOSU lost to a playoff team at home, AND got throttled by a very average Iowa team. Losing by 30+ to a team like Iowa has to matter.

You left out the embarrassing loss that Bama doesn't have this year.

I don't see anyone in the media making the case for Bama. Relax. It's going to be Ohio St.

With UGA and Clemson in, I think they'll go with OSU. No real way to pick between Bama and OSU, can make good argument for both. So, they'll go with a big 10 team for the audience. Also, overall down year in the SEC, so tough to justify 2 getting in

Was hoping for Wisconsin to win but if Ohio State wins hope it's by a landslide.
