Everything is higher on the road but not significantly higher.

I may have undervalued Perez's offense and overvalued Coors effects on Rosario.

Naw. Perez got sucked off so much this past offseason that he is still fresh in everyone's head.

There are 3 or 4 catchers who can hit 30 bombs and Rosario is one of them. I'll take that production from behind the dish.

C: Rosario
1B: Rizzo
2B: Profar
3B: Machado
SS: Castro
LF: Harper
RF: Stanton
SP: Strasburg - Bumgarner - Harvey - Sale - Moore

C: Salvador Perez
1B: Freddie Freeman (Hosmer looks awful at the plate too much) (Rizzo would be 2nd choice)
2B: Jason Kipnis
SS: Elvis Andrus (I want to pull the trigger on Castro so bad here)
LF: Harper
CF: Trout
RF: Starling Marte
SP: Matt Harvey

But you picked Stras?

interesting.

I'd take Goldschmidt over any of them, but he just misses the 24 year old cut.

he's 26, that's why he wasn't listed.

Yes, I still think he will be OK.

It's not close. He plays terrific defense, he's a decent hitter who has shown occasional pop, and he can run the bases like mad. I actually think he will soon be hitting 10 HR a year.

Simmons is better defensively and is already a sure 10+ homer guy. Give me Simmons over andrus. Simmons has potential to be one of the best defensive shortstop of all time when it's all said and done.

CF: There's really not any stand out, young CF guys in baseball right now. Aaron Hicks gets rave reviews on D, but can't hit a lick right now.

Leonis Martin?

ETA: I got drunk at the pony races today...I think Martin is too old.

Yeah, besides Mike Trout, who you made a LF for some reason

Because he plays LF.

Well, he plays both. To be honest with the way he has been hitting since moving to CF (with Bourjos injured), I would not be surprised to see them move Bourjos for some pitching. Schuck is hitting above .300 and you still have Trumbo that can play LF if necessary.

I'll take Bourjos..but they have to make this trade. It's a no brainer for the Halos.

Well, only if they feel confident with Schuck. If not you have Trumbo in LF and then AP having to play 1B everyday.

Schucks #s with 29 games and 70ABs:
BA OBP SLG OPS
.300 .351 .371 .722

Not great for a LF.

Don't care about the Park effect. Going to hit 30-35 homers on a yearly basis. Perez is a much better defensive catcher, though.

quote:

1B: Anthony Rizzo

Hosmer is terrible right now and Freeman just seems like he's a 25 homer guy. Rizzo has the better upside of those two.

quote:

2B: Jurickson Profar

20/20 potential with superb defensive ability. Can also play short.

quote:

SS: Elvis Andrus

I don't like any of these guys really and would take Profar over all of them if he were listed at short.

I guess I'd take Andrus. Improved defense and he's the only one on this list that can spell WALK

quote:

3B: Manny Machado

Not close. Easiest decision of your list.

quote:

LF: Mike Trout

Best PLAYER in baseball.

quote:

RF: Oscar Taveras

Not in majors, but could hit in the middle of any lineup right now. Except for the organization he's with

quote:

SP: Jose Fernandez

Has the fastball, has the breaking ball and the change is really coming along. Only 20.

Glad someone agrees

Posey
Yadi
Napoli
Posada
Varitek
Pierzynski
Pudge

Big time offensive production from the catcher spot seems to correlate with winning ball clubs in recent history
