Fourth at best. Archie and Bobby both made Pro Bowls.

Tyrod Taylor threw two pick 6's in the final 2:30 of week 16 game last year. Cost me the fantasy super bowl.

I hate that guy.

Name the best QB's in Saints history and compare them to Aaron Brooks

He finished in the top 10 in passing yards from 2001-2004. Top 5 in TDs in 2001 and 2002 (7th in 2003). Had the lowest interception rate in the NFL in 2003.

He had 60 game winning drives, 76 comebacks, and led the Saints to a top 10 offense from 2001-2004.

From 2000-2004:
107 TDs/67 Ints
16,274 yards

1,129 yards rushing for another 11 TDs

It's definitely arguable that Brooks is our second best QB. I would actually agree with you that he is. You have to remember, most of our "real fans" didn't give a shut until about 2006.

I'm pretty sure it was just one pick-six. Regardless, that last couple minutes was an absolute disaster if you were going up the Patriots defense in fantasy.

Tebow wasn't so bad. He had all the intangibles and leadership qualities in the world, he was just out of his league in terms of passing. But you can't say he didn't make things happen in Denver, if only haphazardly.

Bobby made the Pro Bowl while playing as a dirty bird. That takes away points in my book

It is definitely arguable that Brooks is the 2nd best all time in Saints history (which is pathetic, but it is what it is).

You can make an argument for Archie or Bobby, but lots of people that barely saw either of those guys play exalt them.

Bobby really wasn't that good. He was a pretty average QB.

Brooks, while doing ridiculously stupid things, also put up some really good stats.

True but in the six full seasons that Hebert started in New Orleans, he averaged 10.3 wins. In the four full seasons that Brooks started, he averaged 8 wins, and while that doesn't include the 2000 season and the playoff win, that also doesn't include the 2005 flame-out.

Hebert had 4 10-game win seasons and Brooks had none. Brooks does have the playoff win but Hebert had 4 playoff appearances. Their QB rating for their careers is about the same, Hebert just a touch lower.

I would still list Archie Manning 2nd because the teams he had around him were absolutely horrendous and I can't blame him for that. But if you're asking me to place someone 3rd, I would place Hebert. As much of a clown as he is, I think people forget that Hebert was a pretty solid QB.

Hebert QB rating: 78.0. Brooks QB rating: 78.5. When you average everything together, there isn't really that much of a difference.

Except that Bobby had his 2 best years in QB Rating with the Falcons. Aaron Brooks had a much higher QB Rating as a Saint

Also, I think the stats argument is unfair to Archie because in those days, all the QBs had rough TD-INT and QB rating stats compared to today's QBs.

Just as a comparison:

Archie Manning: 125 TDs/173 INTs/67.1 QB Rating

Terry Bradshaw: 212 TDs/210 INTs/70.9 QB Rating

Bob Griese: 192 TDs/172 INTs/77.1 QB Rating

Joe Namath: 173 TDs/220 INTs/65.5 QB Rating

Roger Staubach: 153 TDs/109 INTs/83.4 QB Rating

Johnny Unitas: 290 TDs/253 INTs/78.2 QB Rating

Staubach and Unitas are clearly the best, but Manning beats Namath on QB rating and is not far behind Bradshaw. Manning's curse was that he played with vastly inferior talent.
