Lebron had a rough 2010 Finals against the Mavs. Can you tell me what other meltdowns you are talking about? He was amazing in the playoffs basically every year with Miami and Cleveland and almost every single game too.
I can understand holding 2010 Finals against him but he’s been nothing short of an incredible playoff basketball player since.

2010 East semis against an aging Celtics team-Cavs blow 2-1 series lead to lose in 6 and it was heavily reported around that time that LeBron had to be sedated before some games and didn’t look interested or engaged on the court as the team floundered. Dan Gilbert accused him of quitting during that series
2018 NBA Finals-after his incredible regulation performance, Bron throws a tantrum after JR Smith’s bonehead move, refuses to huddle with the rest of the team before overtime and REFUSES TO SHOOT the ball the first few minutes of OT, he doesn’t score again in the game and the Cavs proceed to get swept and it wasn’t even that close
2019 NBA season-LeBron’s first season in LA starts out promising then the groin injury happens. He lets on that he’ll be back soon publicly but takes forever to get back and proceeds to destroy team chemistry when Klutch Sports tries to engineer trading the whole team for AD. When he gets back from the injury, he flat out refuses to play defense and the Lakers proceed to miss the playoffs when they had a good shot early on.

If that's your trove of evidence that Lebron has struggled that much more than Larry in the playoffs that it overrides the fact Lebron is more accomplished in basically every way*(and still going)...I think it might be time to give up this fight

2010 - Lebron struggles in Game 5 pretty bad. In Game 6, he has 29-19-10 in a loss. You’re thing about sedation appears to be something Skip Bayless said years later.
2018 - Lebron melted down to the tune of 51 points in an OT loss to the best Warriors team ever. They did get swept. Lebron broke his hand after Game 1 yet played every game.
2019 - I don’t even know what this is. They were like 2nd in the West when get hurt. Out of playoffs when he got back.
2021 - The Lakers we’re up 2-1 at home when AD left Game 4. They would have won that series and possibly repeated had things gone differently.
I think you just hate him as a person.

Id have to look at who i would put ahead of him first
MJ
Lebron
Magic
Kareem
Shaq
Kobe
so 7 I guess can't really justify putting anyone else ahead of him. I guess you could argue about Kobe or Shaq to get him top five. Top 4 are pretty solid on my list.
i can tell your dumbass has never seen him play
he is easily top 3.
jordan
bird
the rest

Lebron is pretty clearly 2. You could make a case for 1 or a case for 3 (Kareem over Lebron), but most reasonable and unbiased people would put him 2.
If he’s outside your top 3, you just don’t like the guy and let her feelings get in the way of facts or you’re incredibly dumb.
We have a lot of soft people on this board and the south is the dumbest region of the country so can’t rule either out.
You don't have to be incredibly dumb to have him 4th behind Jordan, and any combination of Kareem, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Elgin Baylor. I personally think you would be wrong, but not dumb.
I did saw Jordan's whole career, and it boggles my mind when anyone puts Lebron ahead of him and 90% of the time it is done by someone who isn't old enough to have seen Jordan early in his career and through his prime. Its this same bias that probably has me diminishing the careers of West, Baylor, Wilt, etc. Like a lot of these arguments, it goes to the era in which they played.

I’ll put it this way. If I had a team and could chose between bird and James. I’m taking Bird. Bird won’t ever take a play off will hustle the whole time he is on the floor and if I needed ONE clutch shot to win a game it’s Bird and it’s not close.

Always played hurt, backed up trash talking, was an unbelievable passer and rebounder. Besides Jordan, best ever clutch player in history.

I mean for legacy unrelated reasons I'd take Bird too. And I'd probably choose him for the last shot over Lebron. Though I think you oversell it a bit there considering Lebron has more buzzer beaters than Bird and more shots to win or tie in the last 10 seconds of games.
But on the question of each player's overall body of work and achievements, Lebron wins. And I think the extensive litigation of every angle and argument people have tried to put forth to challenge that has only really reinforced it.

I’ll add one more thing… the Bird led 86 Celtics were better than any team Lebron has been on… but hey I’m not saying Lebron is not great. I will agree that he is the most physically gifted player the league has ever seen.

I agree, though probably not how you intended. People try and tear down Lebron for the super team, then ignore that guys like Bird played in the era of, and was part of super teams, and that specific team had 4 hall of famers not including Bird.
Posted on 6/8/22 at 7:30 pm to Bronc
I can agree with some of that. But bird never left to try and create a super team. Celts just made some real good trades and like I said before, bird made them all better. Lebron left Cleveland TWICE to try and get a super team… think about that.

Bird always had multiple hall of fame teammates
All because Bird elevated them. McHale was their 6th man. Walton and Maravich were on the decline when they went to the Celtics. Like I said, once Bird was done the Celtics 'other superstars' didnt win a title for 22 years
Jordan had Pippen, Rodman in their prime. And Phil Jackson
Kareem, Magic had each other and Worthy, Cooper in their prime. And Pat Riley
Lebron only plays with superstars in their prime

Lebron James also brought a NBA championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Think about that.

One time Mo Williams was Lebron James “superstar” teammate.
This “Lebron James doesn’t elevate players” is some BS based on him being old with the Lakers.
Kyrie, Love, Bosh, All the various role players on the Heat and Cavs post 2010 and even more notably all of the Cavs players pre-2010.
Please review the Cavs records before and after James in all instances.
Someone once paid Timofy Mozgov like 64 million dollars based on his play with James.
