Mexico City is not the same as northern Mexico. I don't ever see the MLB expanding there, but that city isn't a "third world country ran by drug lords".

After that, San Antonio, Nashville, and Charlotte.

Charlotte is a no-go. Orioles territory as compensation for the Nat's going to DC. I don't see them giving that up.

Montreal and Brooklyn would be awesome. Four 8-team divisions.

Nashville would be very cool too if it could happen, I imagine the Braves hold on to that one hard though

Yeah because a Tony Scott film really aims to serve as a documentary about daily life in Mexico City...

It's still Mexico.

Baseball isn't even that popular in Mexico. Put it in San Juan if you want to go to Latin America

Since we're throwing out all the Latin American countries, why not mention Havana (not that I would ever want to live there either) considering our new found friendship.

The whole terrority thing is ridiculous to me. The a's can't move to st Jose because they gave it to the Giants and now it's their "terrority". Charlotte as a territory of a city in a state 2 states away is ridiculous. If they care so much for these terrorities they'd at least have their AAA team in charlotte and not the white sox. And by that same notion how is Brooklyn not a protected terrority of the Yankees or Mets?

My hope is Charlotte and Nashville

Does New York really need a third team?
Does MLB really need any more teams? There are already teams with low fan support, like Tampa and Miami. I can see moving some teams around but expansion seems unnecessary. Would love the Expos to return.

A Cuban team--do Cubans have enough money to go to the games and buy stuff?

Not sure why Indianapolis doesn't have an MLB team?

Because it's a small market and they have the reds, Indians, and two teams in Chicago right there

Mexico City is huge. The nice parts are really nice and bad parts can be easily avoided. MC is safer than DC, Atlanta, Chicago, etc. It's the northern part of the country that's a complete shithole.

You would rather live anywhere in Mexico than those US cities? If you are rich none of those places are dangerous, if you are rich in Mexico you can look forward to kidnapping, rape, murder

You're 100% right. The only reason I would even want an Expos return is that Toronto has a baseball monopoly on the Canadian market. Giving Montreal a team would help reduce their competitive advantage. Plus Montreal got screwed with Olympic Stadium. There has never been a baseball team that has had good attendance playing their home games in an indoor stadium. That includes the Astros, Twins and certainly the Rays. Build a stadium with a retractable roof and I'm sure the Expos would have fared much better with attendance.

Retractable roofs are the way to go. Domes are lifeless and open stadiums are too miserable in some areas. I don't know why the Rangers didn't build a retractable roof.
