I just tried to type out how the home/away shite works but it's so complicated that I couldn't put it in words right

It's not that difficult to understand really.

1st Round
Higher seed is home

2nd Round
- Team with 1st round Bye is home
- Team that traveled in 1st round is home
- If both traveled or were home in round 1, higher seed is home

Quarterfinals
- Team that has traveled the most # of games in playoffs is home
- If teams have traveled same # of games, higher seed is home

Semifinals
Higher seed is home

Did they change this last year? I remember the change, just can't remember when it took effect.

It was recent. Not exactly sure when the change went into effect...but I know it was also this way last season.

Should we just make this the bracket discussion thread?

What can folks tell me about Covington? I know they got a big win this past weekend.

Covington has a good running back, Brumfield I believe. Haven't heard much else about them. I would think if Hahnville keeps playing the way they have been since the Destrehan game they'll be alright in this one.

Y'all, Haynes is East Jefferson Parish's academic magnet school. They will play at Yenni, as the public schools get first choice of dates at Yenni. Jesuit vs. Rummel is already scheduled for Saturday at Yenni.

With the crowd that Haynes draws, they should really play at Pontiff, but there's no press box.

Their counterpart on the West Bank is Thomas Jefferson.

Covington's running back is good. He got like 102 yards on 25 carries against Ponchy. But their Oline is overall pretty bad. Destrehan won't have much trouble.

Should do it like Texas 6A. First round, higher seed gets home game. After that, all neutral sites.

I would hope not....seeing as how they're playing Terrebonne in round 1.
