It's a bit much for draft night smack talk, yes. Much as, again, I would revel in the Pelpocalypse meting out postseason heartbreak upon one of the 00's Sultans of the West.
Lakers are one of the most storied franchises ever (shut the frick up, WCA, I swear to God I'm just trying to make a fricking point here. The things I do...), and they haven't fricking sniffed a playoff series win in eons. Pels have wallowed in mediocrity and are hanging their hopes on an unproven youngster and lakers castoffs in an unforgiving conference. Lakers are pinning theirs on James/AD.
It's going to be hell for y'all to just make the postseason, much less meet up, much LESS start saying "when we knock LA out of the playoffs..." My man, y'all will have a ton of things to worry about just making it to the dance, and if LA happens to be waiting for y'all, they'll have figured something out, too. Something that for damn sure would be up to the challenge of y'all's core.
So don't get carried away. Unless you want to troll. Which is fun, too. But pick one

Ingram is borderline. Still don't really trust Ball. He could be a few steps away, or he could be what he is at this point.
Honestly it's telling (showing my bias here) that ACFresh is still there.

Yeah this stuff just does not matter much going forward given who is running each franchise. Sure they can get a couple big stars but do you think the Laker brain trust can fill out that roster with the depth they will need? Now look at David Griffin and Trajan Langdon.
Again I’m not calling a Pelicans title run. I’m just saying that a few years from now we will be better than 1 franchise. I’m not even saying now.
