I think they will go after Willingham. I have been advocating for him for the longest time. His contract is reasonable and the Twins can get a decent return for him. And it wouldn't cost Profar.

Stanton, CarGo and Price are the only three, that have been mentioned in trade rumors, that I would give up Profar for

Probably. A trade for a decent outfield bat that wouldn't cost very much. If that happens, I could see a Profar/Stanton trade in the offseason because Willingham isn't a long term option.

Actually I did. You also forgot the big stat: only 82 pitches in 7 innings (being a huge pitch count follower that's good considering coming off of injury).

I fricking called this awhile ago. Perez is going to be the next Derek Holland, except he will actually meet his expectations. He looked like a legit #2 tonight.

He needs to develop his secondary pitches to become that. He has no true wipeout pitch. I've been waiting years to see this potential plus plus changeup but its still not there. I rather Holland until he can show a more polished repitoire.

And yet he's still only 22 - and a whole 3 months older than Mark Appel, the guy who just got drafted #1. He's WAY ahead of MOST 22 year old pitchers, IMO.

I don't disagree. There's a reason why he has been one of the top pitching prospects in the game for the past 5 or 6 years. I think was a little unfair to him to attach all the Johan Santana comparisons at such an early age though. The added pressure hasn't served him well imo.

Astros trade for Yu Darvish, Rangers "fan base" collapses by September

Say what you will about the Dallas area, I agree with you about-it sucks, but the Rangers don't have terrible fans, in my personal expierence. Hell for years they took a backseat to the 'Stros in Texas. My first MLB game was at the old park.

Also as far as names go in sports, Texas Rangers is near the top, imo.

I don't know why anyone thought they would ever sell. I'm a huge A's fan, and the division will come down to September, and the loser will be in the one game wild card. Just like last season

I expect the fire sale to happen anyday now. I think Beltre will be the first to go. That guy is a bum.
