Surprised this thread hasn’t turned into one arguing that if Josh Allen had as many talented teammates as Ohtani Allen would be a two time MVP and World Series champ

pride is just getting warmed up. He'll go 15 pages arguing that he was correct.
Ohtani was far below players that got shite on for being “chokers on the postseason” but he received no real talk about it. He went .100 in a World Series. He had a career average when I made the thread of .210 in the postseason. I asked why it wasn’t being talked about. That’s it. That’s the thread
I just stated a fact he hadn’t been good in the postseason and the fact it wasn’t being talked about like some other players. The conversation went well and then Ohtani has an historic game and the thread is revived which makes no sense

Barry Bonds had the label of postseason choker for a long time, and then went nuclear in 2002. People probably don't talk about it with generational talents because they know it'll come eventually. That's all I got.

Narratives are set for certain players and some escape it. It will never make sense to me

Trying understand public perception can be like trying find out the answer to "how many bubbles are in a bar of soap"

All this rambling is exactly why the dude said you would argue for 15 pages- why would you even question the GOAT stinking?
