Yes, things should be equal for both. It shouldn't matter one was owned property less than 200 years ago.
I don't think it even needs to get that complicated, but of course the race baiters will bring up Spike Lee, why can a black man say one thing and a white can't. That's their MO.

Truth be told, Shaq and others, stupidly mocked one person. That's no where equal to holding as entire race in disregard.

The post you quoted and agreed to was fricking stupid.

No it wasn't. In the aftermath of all this Charles Barkley said the NBA was a "black league". He's 100% correct and I actually have no problem with him saying that.

What I do have a problem with is what would happen to Barry Melrose if he went on air and said the NHL was a "white league"? He would lose his job and be labeled as a racist for the rest of his career.

Your hypothetical isn't an argument.

My hypothetical carries more weight than anything in this thread.

See Paula Dean.

I didn't say Shaq was right. But to equate the mocking of one person to a disparagement of an entire race of people is foolish.

Oh really? How so?

Are both actions not similar (if not equal) in their intent?

You sure about that? I assume you're black to make that statement.

I don't have to be black to make the statement. Something that happened 200 years ago does not directly affect anyone living today.

I give zero shits about what either of them did (even though both were wrong)....there are much worse people out there.

This is far worse than what Sterling said or did

I'm not even going to address the Shaq thing, but I will say that it's been amusing watching idiots flail about trying every which way they can to try and excuse that racist Sterling's bullshite with nonstop comparisons to other things they happen to find offensive.

Other than that, carry on...

I'm not defending Sterling at all. What he did was sick also. But it wasn't like Shaq made fun of some random ugly dude. The dude has a disability he can't help. I'm comparing the two because two sets of people were discriminated against.....the physically disabled and minorities. And again, Shaq and Sterling are BOTH part of the NBA in some sense. And for the record, I love Chick-Fil-A.

I swear, when I heard bits and pieces of the Sterling thing, I had two immediate thoughts.

First was, "What a decrepit, fricking jackass to say things like that."

Second was, "Well...who will be the first Tigerdroppings poster to passive aggressively defend this jackass ...?"

This place NEVER disappoints.
