What's up with Thursday night college games this season?

There have not been any good games. I can't remember it being this bad. Louisville vs Nc state was decent but other than that it seems every game is unwatchable

Good riddance, in my opinion. They would always choose Georgia Tech for 1 or 2 Thursday night games a year, usually at home. I hate how it takes away a Saturday home game for tailgating. They would also always pick Clemson or Virginia Tech as our Thursday games which would take away an opportunity for a potential primetime Saturday slot and full day of tailgating.

Fun Belt and Maction is the way to go. And I say that as a Troy fan. I hate getting picked for weeknight games, but you know the schedule way in advance so you can plan. We had a Wednesday night against South Alabama, and a Thursday night against Idaho. Both were home games so the locals could still go, and anyone within a couple hours drive. I think the only other reason we're playing on a weekday is the Friday after Thanksgiving. Playing that game on Iron Bowl Saturday would kill attendance.

Yeah, but judging from watching tv, Thursday night at Georgia Tech looks electric, thus giving y’all more of a home field advantage.
Thursday nights in the ACC and SEC are usually entertaining.

I mentioned this earlier in the season. Besides like a 3-week stretch late September/early October, they have been complete arse.
Maybe once the NFL pulls their Thursday night schedule, college will start to push better matchups in that slot.

I loved attending Thursday night games at GT, especially compared to noon games. The city looks awesome lit up behind the stadium, too.

I know from talk radio stuff here that the Memphis staff loves them for the exposure they get. That being said, they've had some horrible luck with weather during them. Norvell using those weeknight games to add a few zeroes to the bank account

Memphis/Houston was a pretty good game earlier this year. I remember a couple of others being OK to watch.

Stanford/Oregon St. was good. But yeah, most of the Thursday night games this year have been duds.

The AAC screws up by not having more big games on Thursday
They are basically the big east, might as well act like it

Seemed like they had good ACC, old Big East, and CUSA Thursday games back in the day.

I always liked turning on a good ACC, AAC, or Mountain West matchup on a Thursday night. Most of the games this year have been garbage.
