I threw it 105, but when the gun was re-calibrated it was in the high 90's..
Then they took my pine tar, and it was in the low 90's.
Then I woke up, and it was back to 11 mph at the slow pitch softball game.

I pitched HS, college and Senior League till age 46. I was never clocked but I know it wasn't fast. I was a Reliever who threw side arm and submarine sinkers and big breaking curves. Think Kent Tulkeve.

Don't you have Sr. League BB in Baton Rouge? There are leagues that start at age 30. In Shreveport/Bossier they used to allow each team 3 players between 27-29. Don't know what the rules are now but it's still popular.

At a carnival, so I doubt the gun is accurate, 72. That was with every bit of muscle I had, and when I was in impeccable shape. My shoulder hurt for a while after that, and pitchers have my complete respect

Oh, and don't they usual radar it around 10 feet before the plate?

81 is thhe highest I was clocked. I had a decent arm. Younger brother hit the lower 90's in HS. Most of the HS pitchers on my team were in the 80's

I'v stayed out of these types of threads since I joined TD. Simply because it's impossible to talk about ones self without coming off as douche baggy(correct way to say it?). Anyways...I guess it's ok to talk about it now seeing as I just got released a few days ago

I'm only 25 and I live in NO. I did find an adult league recently that I am considering trying to join.
I highly recommend it. I tried slow pitch softball like most players over 30 but it just wasn't the same. When they created Sr. League it was like revisiting my youth.
I remember one game at night that went into extra innings. It was for the league championship. We lost. Everyone was sweating, dirty, some bleeding from diving for balls and sliding. We sat in the dug out to change shoes and pack gear.
The ball park lights went out. The winning team and spectators were gone.
But my teammates (all between 30 and 45 years old) just sat there. No one was leaving the dug out. No one was talking. I broke the silence:
"Drink it in, guys. Smell it. The day will come when we can't play this game. This stuff is great."
