What’s more screwed up, Texas getting in or the Gumps getting in?

They are saying on TV that the Gumps were in with only one loss and the SEC championship.
Texas had to be in since they beat Bama, and it’s Texas that knocked out FSU, not Bama.
I’m not sure, what are the SOCs of Bama, TX, and FSU?

well one of those teams rolled into the other one's stadium and won by 10

so it's more egregious that the loser got in, by far

Either way Washington is the worst of the 4.

Texas jumping Florida State is actually worse than Alabama but because of the head to head they had to do both.

That’s what the talking heads are saying, Bama was in and Texas had to be let in since they beat Bama.

This is the huge flaw in everyone’s thinking. It’s common sense that they aren’t the same teams now.

What do you mean why? Teams improve over time. That happens with good coaching and when you lose half your team to the draft every year.

Because it wasn’t a recent game.

Everyone was commenting early season about how Bama didn’t look like Bama. They didn’t settle down till the end of the season.

a team that could possibly be facing sanctions with a suspended coach getting in.

No issue with Texas getting in. If Bama’s win yesterday is the “best of the season” then the Texas win over Bama is even better.

You’re right. Texas is playing their best football of the season right now and is a better team than the one that went into Tuscaloosa and won by 10.

Maybe. But Bama is significantly better.

Yep. They were dead set on getting Bama in so Texas benefits as well.

Are they? Took a last second Hail Mary to beat a garbage Auburn team. Yes they just beat Georgia but this still looks like the same inconsistent team from the beginning of the year.
