What would you say is more embarrassing: Getting stiff armed or dunked on?

Dunked on.

Always had a soft spot for guys who get stiff armed because the running back can practically just facemask you.

I wish we considered being dunked on more of a badge of honor. Maybe we would see more defense being played in basketball

There has to be more context here.

If a QB stiff arms a linebacker I think that's more impressive than Kevin Durant posterizing a 6'5" guard in transition. If Russell Westbrook posterizes Anthony Davis then I think that's more impressive than Saquon Barkley stiff arming Eli Apple

There are also level to a stiff arm. What Derrick Henry did to AJ Bouye and Myles Jack last year on that 99 yard run was just disrespectful. There's stiff arming a guy and then there's what he did. Henry has actually made a bit of a habit out of it, but then again he's probably got the best stiff arm in the game

Dunked on easily. Stiff arms are great, but it's not a play that gets remembered over time. There's plenty of dunks that are still remembered to this day

I would argue that getting trucked is more embarrassing than getting stiff armed

depends entirely on who is doing the stiff arming/dunking

This.

The answer is stiff arm. Dunks happen all the time and are overrated, imo. A devastating stiff arm is rare.

Definitely. I would say getting trucked is the football equivalent of getting dunked on

The dunk-to-stiff combo has to be the worst:

I don’t even understand why a defensive player allows a stiff arm to happen when you can just go low and wrap up the legs. I was a fullback so never been stiff armed, never been dunked on either but did get badly “packed” I don’t remember the word we use to use back in the day, trying to get a layup and got denied We still won so frick it

I mean it's not quite that simple. That's a very good way to get a mouth full of grass. You almost have to tackle the arm if a guy has a really good one.

It's all or nothing if you do that. If you miss then he's gone (depending on where other defenders are).

A few weeks ago, I would have said the VC dunk in the Olympics and the Pippen/Ewing dunk are the most memorable of both categories for me, but I will never forget the sheer hilarity of Matt Ryan getting destroyed. The German broadcast of that call that someone linked here is just pure magic and adds to the legend. LINK

that’s why coaches kept me as a blocking fullback more than likely

Stiff arm. It makes you look weak.

Getting dunked on could just be bad timing.

Now imagine going for a leg tackle against one of these NFL burners

I loved playing football but the life of a defensive NFL player sounds miserable, especially if you’re playing in the secondary.
