That was a tragically poor response to my post

Your post was meaningless feelings about journalists that you hold a grudge against.
It’s over for LeBron. His prime and his chance to catch Jordan.
The only question is whether Curry and Durant pass him up & catch Duncan.

Oh

What? You’re talking your own nostalgia about your childhood and how good you feel about proving the Wilbons wrong. Lol.
I’ve seen them both in their prime. It’s more marketing hype than actual fact.
Curry and Durant are closer to LeBron historically than LeBron is to Mike, Kareem and a few others.

It’s far more impressive that he did it with 3 separate franchises

Based on what metric?

In my opinion, two more rings, pass Kareem in points, reach 40K 10K 10K points rebs assists would be a great argument.
He already has because he’s just a better basketball player which pains me to say because I’m not a fan at all. He’s a better rebounder, passer, three pointer shooter and will very likely be the all-time leading scorer one day. Everyone talks about MJs record in the finals but the fact of the matter is that the teams he played in the finals were very weak, with his toughest opponent being Clyde Drexler. The legend of Jordan grows over time, the bulls didn’t overcome the bad boy pistons, the pistons got old. Well how bout Jordan beating the showtime lakers? Kareem had already retired and Magic was in his last season in the league because of aids, and James Worthy only played one game in those finals, Michael Cooper led them in scoring during that series. Some of you are probably too young to remember this but go research the history of the STACKED bulls teams filled with hall of gamers and led by the best coach ever. Here’s the icing on the cake since for the “Jordan made his teammates better crowd.” When Jordan left the bulls to play baseball they went from 50 wins to 48 wins, making it to the conference finals. When LeBron left his “super team” in Miami they failed to make the playoffs the following year. Downvote away lol.

Not get owned by Dirk, Kawhi and Durant in The Finals.
And if not for Ray Allen saving his arse that one year - getting owned another time by SA in 6.

All of this is completely accurate, couldn’t have summed it up better myself in terms of LeBron’s legacy

There isn’t a single era of professional basketball where every team in the league wouldn’t take Lebron #1 overall in a redraft featuring every player who has ever played
I’d take Jordan unequivocally or Shaq. I believe the best things that happened to Jordan and propelled him to do what he ultimately did was a) getting cut in high school, b) playing for Dean Smith at UNC where he learned to be a great all-around player not just scorer, and c) getting passed up the first 2 picks in the draft, particularly with Portland selecting Bowie. The chip on MJ’s shoulder was there the moment he joined the NBA and it never left, giving him an edge which proved insurmountable.

There is nothing he can do
Now he is destroying the Lakers org. Congratulating the Clippers on beating his team
Kobe would never do that. Real fans are melting

LeBron doesn’t rank higher than Duncan all-time, Duncan’s a very underrated no. 2 all-time player bc he wasn’t the attention whore LeBron is and didn’t do all the off the court business MJ did but on the court it was pure greatness night in and night out.

What separates Jordan from LeBron was that Jordan had to work to do what he did and was never given anything whereas LeBron’s been coddled since high school. In fairness, it wasn’t LeBron’s fault, he was a tremendous athlete at that time but it was to his detriment in terms of the person he is as a public figure and he’s a soft beta posing as an alpha as much as he is an actual alpha at times, he’s spoiled rotten. I believe that’s why he chokes and melts down on the court almost as much as he thrives throughout his career.

You say that like Jordan was never bailed out by a 3 point shooter. Kerr and BJ did it just off the top of my head. I don’t consider any of these “bail outs” though

I hate defending Lebrun, but this choking thing got obliterated years ago. His clutch numbers were actually better than Jordan’s at one point. I haven’t followed in several years tho

He will never pass Jordan no matter what he does. It’s already been too long and he’s shown himself to be a jackass on and off the court. That being said there is a place for him on the NBAs Mt Rushmore. He’s just not the GOAT and not even close imo.

For some recency
2018 Melts down after the JR Smith error in Game 1 of the Finals, sits away from the team and doesn't take a shot in the overtime, GSW proceeds to sweep them
2019 After defrauding everybody by tweeting he would return from his groin injury "in no time," apparently "no time" took forever as the Lakers proceed to get eliminated from contention by losing game after game AND LeBron proceeds to destroy team chemistry by attempting to trade most of the team for AD. In hindsight, trading for AD saved LeBron's legacy as they won the 2020 covid bubble title but it didn't help his reputation.
