Vick is due out of prison this July and his attorneys expect immediate reinstatement to the NFL. Assuming this happens (and his PR machine is working on overdrive to repair his image with SPCA spots, volunteer weekend, etc) what teams do you envision going after him?

Off the top of my head, I can see the Dolphins or Jets or Pats going after Vick as a Wildcat QB to run 10 snaps a game / be a valid backup. The thing to remember here is that Vick wasn't really a "problem player". Sure he wasn't a coach's wet dream, but he was a decent enough teammate. I think a stable organization that needs a spark offensively will take a look at him.

Wouldnt be shocked if Al does it. He'll try to convert him to WR probably.

I dont think it will be Oakland. I think it will need to be a team with a very strong head coach who can withstand the backlash that will come.

New England is going to need a backup for Brady as Cassell will almost certainly be gone. Belichick is a big enough dude to take on the Vick challenge.

I also agree with whoever mentioned Denver. Shanahan would probably love having an option like Vick to come off the bench for 5-10 plays a game. How about Gruden and Tampa? That would make a lot of sense too. Chicago? Probably too liberal of a city to handle Vick

The funny thing is that I always hated Vick simply because he was a Falcon. I'd like for him to sign with an AFC team so that I could have the luxury of rooting for him - I'm a sucker for good 2nd chance stories. He'll be like the Daryl Strawberry of the NFL.

Nobody. He was never a great QB. He could make great plays, but his numbers were never very good.

It will take a desperate team to sign him after several years in the pokie.

Man I promise you somebody will sign him. He's better than 50% of the backups in the league right this second.

Add to it that he can be the Kordell Stewart "Slash" role that fits into the emerging Wildcat formation so well, and it's a no brainer.

My first bet is Miami. Parcells loves to do shite like that and signing Vick on the cheap to a no-risk contract is right up his alley. I think he'll wind up somewhere in the AFC East because the Jets and Pats are like the Yankees and Red Sox - they're libel to sign him just to keep him away from the other.

Oakland, Kansas City, Minnesota, Chicago, any of them could sign him. They all need a QB. I could see Minnesota jumping at the chance as that's all they really need to go to the Super Bowl.

ETA: Oakland doesn't need a QB, but Al Davis could still sign him.

I think Minn. would take a look at him. He is basically what brad childress wants tavarius jackson to be.

Saints could trade Brees for a pair of 1st rounders to the Vikings and then sign him.

I've been thinking Minnesota for a while. Either them or even the Jets.....give him a year to get back into NFL shape and when Favre retires he can step in.

(I know even with this sarcasm clause someone is going to spaz about this)
