Marietta is a suburb, but it’s irrelevant. Truist Park has an Atlanta address.

The Redskins said they weren't entertaining the idea either..for a long time. But the cancel mob stops for no one. The Braves may not be the primary target at the moment. But when you are a "progressive" you ALWAYS have to "progress". If/when the Redskins change their name it will be on to the next "battle", and the Braves seems just as good as any other team/school with an Indian related mascot.
Don't believe me? Do you remember the Marquette WARRIORS who won the basketball national championship in 1977? Maybe not, because the perpetually aggrieved crowd pressured them to change their mascot to the Golden Eagles in 1994 on grounds that "Warriors" was offensive.
Atlanta already got rid of the "Tomahawk Chop" chant last year. Getting rid of the name "Braves" seems like the next "logical" conquest, right? That's progress guys. Even if one is just doing it for the sake of "progress"
