SEAN TAYLOR, he was well on his way to becoming the best safety in the league that season.

I still don't get why Griffey isn't getting mentioned a lot. Had he not played the game at 100% like very few do anymore, he would easily have the homerun record

I'm pretty sure first ballot Hall of Famers don't qualify.

They can if there's an obvious reason they could've been even greater. Who knows what kind of ridiculous stats Ted Williams could've accumulated had he not missed 4 or 5 seasons doing TWO tours of military service? Not sure if Junior Griffey qualifies, but Williams certainly does. Might've ended up the greatest ever.

Great call on Ernie Davis, though.

Bo Jackson doesn't get hurt......

Barry Sanders gets traded.

I say that all the time when good football players get drafted by shitty teams.

What if Chad Jones came back to LSU and didn't enter the draft?

How about Eric Davis? Five-tool talent but his career was plagued with injuries. The guy lacerated his kidney during the World Series.

Terrell Davis, 2000 yards then the injuries start.

I agree on Griffey, just because someone is already considered great or elite doesn't mean that they couldn't have been better if not for cerrtain circumstances

I would love to see Griffey's homerun total if he wouldn't have been hurt all those years. I think someone told me that he only would have had to hit like 30HR a year from the first year he was hurt to get the record. Don't know if there is any truth to that.

Also, Lance Armstrong was great and what he did will never happen again but I wonder if he could have won 10 in a row if he wouldn't have took those 3 years off.
