either the crack of a baseball bat hitting a ball perfectly (better in person)
or
the sound of a golf ball rolling into the cup (must be in person)

I was just about to add this along with the sound of clubs striking a ball on a drive.

I was a relief pitcher. Some of the bullpens I warmed up in were semi-surrounded by cement walls. After a few soft tosses you give the catcher the hand signal for fastball and you would hear an echo of it hitting the mitt.
Sounds like "pa-POW".
Not sure if fans can hear it since I never sat near a walled bull pen in a ball park.

Not sure if this qualifies.. but how about the first few notes of a college marching band on the field 10 minutes before kickoff?
It's greatness whether you're in Baton Rouge, Austin, or BFE.
