I guess I could say that 2007 October was shitty when the Sox took out the Tribe and the Rocks...

07 October made me sick, watching those motherfrickers take a World Series title from Cleveland. thats the story of being a Cleveland fan, so close but yet so far

It was in front of me too. Were you in the student section?

Yeah, I was. I wasn't a student anymore, but I was down there in the portable stands in that endzone. Just happened to be a few rows up in the corner where the guy ran to.

easy. after weeks of hearing the iowa fans brag, on td.com, about how bad david roth would kill us in the capital one bowl, that last pass was, by far, my worst day as a tiger fan.

me too...i also cried when harper made this one

In Boys Will Be Boys, they talk about that play. Irvin told Harper to run the slant while he himself ran a curl because he was getting all the coverage. The rest is history. Thanks for sharing that one!

Aaron Boone was worse for me than Buckner. I really thought the Sox had it in the bag. I was also only 8 in '86. Last season's Super Bowl is right there also.

Did you see the a-hole throw his Iowa helmet at us after it happened? There were people ready to fight.

agreed. That play was a kick in the nuts to SF and the beginning of a dynasty.

Watching LSU lose 30-0 to Bama in legion Feild in 1974 and some redneck telling us that Banks HS would have beat us that day

Great Drinking Game.

I actually went to that game too with a bunch of Arkansas fans. Yeah, it was ugly. What was hilarious was that Mitch Mustain could do no wrong. Everytime he would complete a pass, or even hand the ball off the arky fans were like "wow, did you see that!? That was incredible!".

A buddy had a timeshare, so we spent a whole week partying it up... despite the loss it was one of the most fun football trips I've been on.

And yeah, I remember the helmet throwing. I was in too much shock at losing to really be pissed. And then all the Iowa fans I talked to after were really nice so I couldn't be too mad.

That's why it's not #1 on my list. Nothing will top those sweet seats I had to game 5 of the 2005 World Series. frickING frick.

I damn near expected it to happen...even at 3-1...and even with Fausto and CC throwing.

And the worst part about it all, is that I went with game 5 because Clemens was set to pitch 1 and 5... then he got hurt in game 1 and maybe was out for game 5 anyway. I'm not sure it wouldn't have been worse to have gone to game 4 though, and watched the White Sox celebrate.

Yeah, that would have pissed me off. Of course, the Reds have never lost a world series in my lifetime.....
