The worst in a different way may have been Chris Webber's rookie deal.
Being a Warriors fan sucked as a kid. Run TMC teased us and then Webber happened. Was rough. They drafted Penny Hardaway and Vince Carter too….what could have been.

If he had a bigger contract their roster wouldn’t be as good.
Doesn’t change the fact that he’s being paid way less than he’s worth while useless gracie pockets the rest for her weekly vacations

Albert Haynesworth
Albert Haynesworth signed a 7 year, $100,000,000 contract with the Washington Redskins, including $5,000,000 signing bonus, $41,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $14,285,714.
He played in 20 games for Washington and had 42 tackles....that's an average of 2 tackles a game.
Or basically 1 million bucks a tackle including his signing bonus and guaranteed base salary.

Zion’s contract looks bad. He doesn’t play much.

Believe he got 240 million over 10 years.
Close, it was 7yrs/245M.
At least Rendon was still in his 20’s when the Angels signed him. Pujols and Josh Hamilton were both 32 when they signed their big deals, and Pujols might have actually been older than his stated age, and Josh Hamilton had a lot of hard living and wear & tear on his body. Plus, he was a head case that required a 24-hour support system.
Rendon just doesn’t care.
The Angels have paid Rendon, Pujols, and Hamilton over $500M, and they still owe Rendon $100M.

Zion just played 70 games in the first year of his new deal. Pretty much every Pels fan would take 70 games a season from him. So far it's not a bad contract much less in the discussion of worst contract ever.

You’re mad the owners family has more money than their QB? Good Lord. What a moron. You do know his contract was negotiated, right?

Russell Wilson- Denver
they pretty cleaned out the cupboard to get him and the result was ZERO playoffs appearances.

The Mets organization would say Bobby Bonilla.
No way. He gets $1,000,000 a year but each year that passes, the payment holds less and less value. He’s not getting a TVM rate or interest on the deferred payments.

it does not matter pea brain. the question is what's the worst contract...the fact that both sides agreed is irrelevant. elite QBs are making 55 million per year with nearly 200m guaranteed. Mahomes is on 45 mil per year with 140 mil guaranteed.
its a shite contract. only a moron would disagree

Chandler Parsons robbed the NBA blind when he signed with the Mavs.

Although baseball has some ridiculous contracts… I’m not even sure any of them should be considered the “worst ever” because MLB doesn’t have a salary cap.
I mean, who does it really hurt, then if a player flops? An organization with an unlimited payroll? It doesn’t actually hurt the TEAM… just the accountant’s ledger.

There are all sorts of clauses in there about his weight, the number of games he plays in a season, etc. It's a big deal because he's a potential superstar, but the Pelicans have some protection.

Carlos Lee contract with the Astros
The NBA’s contract with the owners of the ABA’s St Louis Spirit. Contract was result of disbanding the ABA and the NBA absorbing four ABA teams - Spurs, Nuggets, Pacers and Nets.

I was going to say Strasburg, but this has to be the winner. Those two brothers just sit on their arse and collect a cut of all of the NBA television revenue every year.

40% of the way into it, it’s definitely a contender.

If I recall correctly, the NBA would cut 32 checks each month- 30 to each team, one to the NBA office and another to the St Louis brothers. Think I read the NBA finally got the contract to end, even though the initial contract was into perpetuity.

Kenny Payne. That man caused so much damage and destruction to a program in a very short amount of time
