UGA with a loss is not getting in over an undefeated Big 10 champion.

Wisconsin is in if they're undefeated.

So they'd drop them from 1 to 5 for losing to fricking Alabama?

Because that is the scenario that would probably have to happen.

It all comes down to how the game looks. Alabama probably gets the benefit of the doubt no matter what. As long as Georgia doesn't lose by more than a touchdown than they will be in

The nightmare scenario for Wisconsin is Georgia beating Alabama in the SECCG.

Good luck having the committee break that room sharing the collective opinion that Alabama isn't one of the 4 best/most accomplished teams this season.

If it's anything but a razor thin loss, yeah.

If Wisconsin had one loss, then UGA would definitely be in play with their loss.

Just my opinion. I'm sure the committee members have already discussed this type of scenario the same way we are.

The fact that this is a committee and not a computer is all you need to know. If these scenarios happened they would treat the SEC title game as a playoff game with the winner advancing.

If Wisconsin had even one loss

If Wisconsin has one loss, they aren't the team Georgia would be compared to.

12-1 Big Ten Champ Wisconsin has basically no chance.

People are also forgetting Washington had an even worse non conference schedule last year AND lost to the best team on their schedule at home and still got in. Sure they had some decent wins but so would Wisconsin and obviously wouldn't have the loss

The SEC championship really does weigh a lot.

If UGA gets their doors blown off they're probably out no matter what.

I would agree with that.

It's hard to see one of those two teams pummeling the other, though.

because they benefited from other teams losing down the stretch. They were on the outside looking in after their loss to USC. Just like Wisconsin is right now

Probably not, but that wasn't the question.

That was my point earlier. Teams are going to lose ahead of them. It always happens. They are guaranteed to be no lower than 5 next week if they beat Iowa.

That's not the question, though.

Like I said in the OP, if Wisconsin wins out, they are very likely in.

That wasn't the point of this thread, and even while potentially true, there are 2 or 3 scenarios that need to die before we start talking about Wisconsin

The answer to the OP is none. The only scenario that needs to happen is for them not to lose.

huh no, Iowa seems like a good win (and certainly is) considering the teams you have been playing, but lots of top ten matchups

Alabama (@Miss State)
Clemson (FSU)
Notre Dame or Miami
OU or TCU

Will all be ahead of Wisconsin FOR SURE. Georgia too probably even if they lose, unless they get blown off really bad @Auburn

So actually their ceiling is 5 next week

Yeah my bad I forgot about Miami. I guess Bama could lose to Moo State, that'd get them to 5.

Undefeated Georgia beats undefeated Alabama by 1 in a thriller in the SEC Championship Game.
Notre Dame 11-1
Clemson 12-1 ACC Champs

Which team is Wisconsin going over?
