You can't discount Ohio St playing with as talented a Miami team as there ever was when they won it all in 2002.

OSU can do a lot to repair its image against USC in Los Angeles. There performance in that game will make or break OSU this year.

If they win, there pretty much a lock to make it back to the BCS Champ game and I'm sure they hope all the SEC teams beat up on each other this year.

The problem people have with the Big-11 is that outside of UM and OSU, there is a humongous drop in team talent.

I'd throw Wisconsin in there before that drop-off. And suprisingly Zook has Illinois on the map, although I don't think he can sustain that.

Granted Ohio State has been terrible against the SEC but no doubt this is a quality program. Whenever someone slams the Big Ten they don't seem to mention Michigans record against the SEC. Bowl games the last two years are 3-3. Both are great conferences.

Ehhh, I wasn't slamming OSU so much, more I was slamming the media attention. Welcome to the Rant though.

Generally, yes, but this year, IMO, scUM will be 8th.

We'll probably be ranked around #8-10 preseason next year, even if we win it all. We'll have lost our starting QB, (probably) Beanie, JL, Freeman, Jenkins, Robo, Boone, etc.

the big 10 president is the most powerful man in ncaa football. and he doesn't want a change. not sure why, but that's the way the bounces ball.

41-14, 38-24, 49-17, 32-18.... last 4 BCS bowl performances by the big 10.

1 is the number of winning bowl seasons the Big 10 has had this decade

3 is the number of Big 10 teams that have lost to AA opponents over the past 2 seasons.

Please do not denigrate the word 'great' by associating it with that conference.

If OSU lost again to an SEC team the suicide rate in Columbus would skyrocket....being serious....not much a joke here

But if that were to happen there would be a stigma on the program that would take 10 years to remove I think.

Do you think this would spark enough controversy to finally get the BCS system changed?

What is wrong with the BCS? It actually works, and is that the problem people have with it? It does the best it can to take the personal bias out of the equation. When that is done, the best 2 teams are left, but the personal bias is still there. Is that why people hate it? I am a fan of it, i think it is a much better end to the season than any other option i have seen.

But y'all are THE Ohio State University that'll have the greatest QB in the world running the show which is enough kool-aid for the sports writers and the like to rank you #1

Not trying to sound biased, but I think Slive has more juice than any other conference commissioner.

This hasn't happened yet therefore I'm talking about NEXT year...LAST year you didn't have TP ("greatest QB in the world")...but NEXT year you will so this leads us back to my original statement...

Hey guys, either explain what your problem is with me with some specifics or just shut up. I realize I'm new and I may be perceived as "uppity" for posting 10 posts in my first hour, but your bullying tactics are decidedly pathetic. Go find a new hobby other than trying to sh*t on a guy who wants to talk football.
