He is still only 26 years old but he went from a strong MVP candidate, to essentially someone who could be replaced.

2017: .318/.374/.583 with 29 home runs and 17 stolen bases
2018: .270/.384/.552 with 39 home runs and 34 stolen bases
2019: .204/.296/.313 with 5 home runs and 16 stolen bases.

His decline started after the All-Star break last season. Is it injury or did he have two fluke great years?

It is but you don't go from being an MVP level player to being below a replacement level player that fast imo...

Unless he is really 36+

Pitchers figured out his weak spots and he hasn't adjusted.

He hit a three run bomb against us last night that went like 460 feet

2018 stats don't tell the whole story. Go look at his last 2 months last year, he's been bad a while now.

Against the Rangers doesn't count.

A team in a wild card spot doesn’t count?

And, once they find your weakness, they exploit it immediately and will continue to exploit it.

Sure, you have moronic teams who will still throw in 3-0 fastballs down the middle. But in MLB, once they expose you, your career will quickly crumble if you do not adjust.

Look at his past 2 years of post season play...its even worse than those numbers. He has been absolutely terrible when it matters. I think part of the problem for this year is that he started to hit more and more HRs and focused less on quality ABs and hits. Its all adding up to what we have seen from lately. If the Indians are to win the final Wild Card spot, they are going to need him to get it going.
