I'm sure he preached fundamentals and ball security are keys to winning the game. Probably mentioned missed execution

Probably some BS trying to own it but then quickly shifting to how it shouldn’t have come down to that if the team had done what they were supposed to do the rest of the game.

After watching his press conference, I have no doubt he blamed the loss on the player who fumbled and the defense that gave up the winning touchdown.

With a name like Cristobal, he should’ve seen what was coming by not kneeling.

This explanation from Mario Cristobal makes zero sense
Doesnt matter how much time was left when drive started

""When the drive started, it was going to be at 1:57 and we could burn about 1:27 off and then it was recalibrated," said Cristobal after the game. "We should have taken a timeout there at the end. We thought he could get the first down and we talked about two hands on the ball, but that isn't good enough. That's it, we fumbled the ball and they went 75 yards in two plays. There is no excuse.

when people say "there's no excuse", there's always one baked in the explanation.

But it never should have even been possible for either of these things to happen, so no that’s not it.

Took zero responsibility and put it on the players with that answer. His days are numbered

Yeah mentioning "you gotta get two hands on the ball" in his postgame answer was pathetic.

What? None of that makes sense. “We thought he could get the first down.” You don’t need one. “We should’ve used a timeout.” Why?
