Either college football or college basketball. Who would you pick and why?

Army or Navy football. Fun when service academies are good.

New Mexico State football. Just because they have never been good... I actually watched a few of their home games when I lived out there. It's such a far cry from the LSU football atmosphere.

I don't know about bottom feeder, but I think UCF and USF have ridiculous potential for football.

That 30 for 30 on Bill McCartney made me miss those early '90's teams.

I realize Chris Collins is attempting this, but I don't see why Northwestern hoops couldn't be Duke if they get things right.

LSU...there was a time when Alabama would occasionally lose to them.

I've always thought that Southern Miss is one of those programs on the fringe that could become a player. There's just so much talent in a 150 mile radius from their campus.

Lots of competition but if they got their act together and got them a good coach that would stay for awhile they could make some waves.

Along similar lines, at least geographically, DePaul basketball should be better than they are every year.

As a side note I would do this on NCAA football on my PS. Iowa St, Troy, Wake Forrest, Purdue were prime candidates.

Isn't that the same argument for UCLA or Depaul basketball?

Fair, but they have a joke of a schedule and aren't considered a major program now.

Would love to see them and Army being able to recruit with big boys. I also understand that's impossible.

I think it's a similar argument for St Louis U basketball as well. A ton of basketball talent in the region annually, they just haven't capitalized on it. Travis Ford is going to do pretty well just based on how he's recruited so far. I never thought Crews was the right guy to take over after Majerus.

Marshall? The same Marshall that has won 10+ games the past 3 years and a CUSA title in 2014? Weird initial answer by the OP.

Mine is Miami. I miss the OB and the swagger of da U as a top 5 program.

Temple football, I think. Didn't they have a badass offense and a really good RB a few years ago? Thought they were really fun to watch.
