no way bo Jackson rana a sub 4.2 on a legit timing device. I'll give him mid to low 4.3s but no way faster than that

Why is 4.15 the 40 limit? Didn't four minutes used to be the limit for the mile? A few years ago, Hicham El-Gerrouj ran a 3:43. You have no idea what you are talking about. Do you know anything about running?
He's right.
And I'm a former sprinter, so I know a bit about the mechanics of sprinting. Part of it is just the start of the race. The only way to get THAT fast THAT quickly is to have augmentation.
Don't make me go PJ on you...

You serious? There is no way to prove the cap is around 4.15 seconds. Obviously, the start of a race, especially one that is only four seconds makes the start crucial, but you have to take account in the timing systems. Supposedly, the reaction to the gun takes approximately .24 seconds where as the NFL uses a laser timing system, so reaction time is not a factor. Someone earlier said that Bolt's first 40 yards was a 4.35, but if he went off a laser timing, then it would translate to a 4.11 (granted, he ran on a mondo track surface). While this is clearly an imperfect comparison and look into it, I see no reason why they cannot continue to minutely to take time off the 40, to a certain extent.

Bo Jackson has the best verifiable time at a Combine with his 4.12-second clocking at the New Orleans Superdome in 1986
would be more like 4.35 if electronic. that's still impressive

I think bolt's reaction time was .16
