The bengals have one of the worst front offices.
This has always been like this.

Burrow only wants/needs Tee and Ja’Marr due to his o line ranking 30th or worse every single season
If he had the Bills or Chiefs O Line, their offense probably wouldn’t need Tee.
Burrow does more with less roster wise than any QB in the modern game.
Dude’s got a retarded owner, retarded front office, retarded coach, an incompetent defense, the shittiest 3,4 and 5 WR’s in the league, and the worst o line year after year after year.

It’s not bad if they do the following.
1. Trade Hendrickson for a late 1 or early 2
2. Sign Josh sweat to a 3 yr 60 m contract.
3. Sign milton Williams to a 4 yr 88 m contract.
4. Draft a guard with the late first or early second.
You would go from paying Hendrickson 32 m a year to Milton and sweat for 42 m a year and a top guard in the class.
I’d take that all day if they could pull it off. But they won’t.

Never change lol. It’s amazing how much of a caricature you’ve become

It's a questionable move considering the Bengals are actually in really good shape cap wise. That said, Hendrickson is at an age where you really have to evaluate if you're paying him for past rather than future performance. He's over 30 and you can expect returns to start to diminish. Soccer teams in Europe are really aggressive about this; not offering large contracts to players exiting their prime.

So no discourse? Just homer name calling
Are you denying Burrow has been saying both WRs should be paid?

You don't even read the other comments in the thread, just hop in at the end and spout nonsense.
As already posted in this thread
Burrow pressures the Bengals to pay Hendrickson
The offseason he has asked for his front office to pay not just the two receivers, but Trey Hendrickson as well.
But go ahead and keep making ignorant statements claiming Burrow just wants his receivers.

I said nothing about him ONLY wanting his receivers, my post was only that he wants both paid as well as a big contract for himself.
Wouldn’t you then think that with two large contracts to skilled position players and a large QB contract the overall situation for the team then becomes a bit tighter as a whole? By not going to end well I simply meant having THAT much money tied up in 3 players (all in the passing game) traditionally isn’t a recipe for success.
You seem so petulant and so ready to lash out at any perceived slight to your hero you’re making assumptions about posts.
TLDR: stop making assumptions and being a bitch.

The Bengals haven’t paid anyone other than burrow. They completely botched the Chase and Higgins extensions last summer when he would have been cheaper, and it cost them a playoff spot. Chase didn’t even practice before week 1 and Higgins sat out any time he had a hangnail because he wouldn’t risk getting injured while not under a long term deal.
None of this has anything to do with “Burrow getting what he wants”.

QB A, didn’t say anything pre contract talks and then said this after
Vs
QB B
One saying he doesn’t make contract talk, the other interjecting himself talking about cap space
You are sticking your head in the sand. Burrow is throwing his weight around trying to keep Higgins. That’s just a fact man

"It's definitely hard to part ways with a guy that's been instrumental to our success here,. "I wish we could keep everybody. We lost a lot of veteran leadership. It is what it is. I don't get paid to make changes on the team."
Vs
QB B
quote:
“When he’s on the field, he’s a game-changer for us—not only for our team but for Ja’Marr. Teams can’t just focus on him; they have to worry about Tee Higgins on the other side of the field. We have the (salary cap) space where we need to keep both of them.”

QB A didn't just watch his organization completley flop on draft picks and free agent signings for the previous 2 seasons.
The Bengals have tried to fix their OL, and they keep signing and/or drafting busts.
The Bengals have tried to draft pass rushers, cornerbacks, and safeties... they all sucked.
Perhaps Burrow is just fed up and is speaking out, "well over the past 4 years you did hit on two receiver draft picks and one defensive end free agent signing, so you might as well do what you can to keep your good selections."
