No it's not. The last triple double winner didn't win MVP or even top 2 so why would anyone ever assume it means automatic MVP?

Triple double winner is much different than a guy that averaged a triple double for an entire season. Come on now don't be do that moving goal post shite again.

Obviously. The casual fan won't know that MVP never comes from 6 or 7 seed so they think Triple double = MVP.

the last player to average a triple double didn't even finish top 2 in MVP. Why would anyone ever assume that just Bc you average a triple double = auto MVP. It's a casual fan take. People who follow the league more closely know that you gotta be on an elite team. And that when big O averaged a triple double he was nowheres close to winning the award.

There was no such thing as triple doubles in 1962.

even casual fans know MVPs, Heismans, etc come from winning teams.

that's common (casual) knowledge.

Their net rating is less than 1. That's pretty average. 11th of 30 team. Puts them slightly above average I guess??

They didn't eve recognize triple doubles back then and he was up against Wilts 50/25 average and Bills 20/20 average. GTFO with that bullshite.

Well Westbrook is up against harden who's about to smash the points created in a season record on a top 5 offense of all time. Great season Russ, but you are clearly being outdone. James is More Efficient too by a lot.

I'm 100% positive lots of people who watch sportscenter highlights don't know it hasn't come off a seed lower than 3 in 30 something years.

I didn't argue that. I've posted over 10 times on this board stated Harden was the MVP this season. I just argued that Westbrook's inefficiency has more to do with him not winning that people not caring about triple doubles.
