The teammate excuse is always his go-to when debating Kobe's shortcomings, but he will argue to the death about how much talent LeBron had surrounding him in Cleveland. Quite possibly the stupidest shite imaginable given some of Kobe's teammates.

So 7 of 27 is clutch?

Every team knows the ball is going to be in Jordan's, Kobe's, and James hands in " clutch " moments.
No excuse.
No excuse.

Kobe has always risen to the challenge of shooting off balance shots with one sec left.
Lebron never wanted to take those shots. It's well documented.

I wouldn't be surprised if he argued that Lebron's Cleveland casts were better than some of those Laker title teams

You are right though, I just hope for the right reasons. Lebron definitely didn't want to take low percentage shots

That's funny in relation to the very topic of this thread and the following responses.

The supporting cast has sucked the entire playoffs

It's not easy when he has to play by himself. The Heat just play an awful team game for a team with so much talent.

LeBron was a one man team tonight. Wade, charmers and Allen...the bad kind of big 3

The bench needs to step up.

And Battier would serve the Heat better by trying to get defensive rebounds instead of hitting the floor

Kobe being infinitely less likely to create an open shot for a teammate is a large contributing factor in why teams just collapse on him.

The 1st 2 quotes were flat out retarded.

Nope. Don't remember the last 2 years where everyone agreed that wade was the guy who gets the ball down the stretch? Didn't you just see him turnover the ball? He doesn't take thosedifficult shots.

I'm not sure if that stat is really THAT relevant but I suppose it is worth bringing up.
Seems like it's just too small of a sample size to be meaningful.
I'd be more interested in what people do in the last 6 minutes of a game than the last 24 seconds.

But Lebron and Mj have been better than Kobe in virtually every individual measurement out there, so I think its fair to assume Kobe would be the worst of the 3 in the final 6 minutes as well.

Why are we limiting clutch to Fg% in the final 10 seconds?
You could hit a shot that wins the game for your team with 15 seconds left.

Why would you take low percentage shots?
Because you HAVE to
Jordan/Pippen/Kerr (best 3pt% shooter in History)
Jordan/Pippen/Grant/Armstrong (top 10 best 3pt% shooter in History)
Lebron/Wade/Bosh/Allen/Battier
Kobe/Shaq (usually on the bench in the final seconds of play due to hack-a-shaq)
Kobe/team 2 (team 2 was worthless in the clutch)
Who would be more likely to HAVE to take tough shots?

Im not saying he should. Im stating that he should not be given the clutch label because his fg% is better w/ 10 secs left. He doesn't take difficult shots. Probably has more tos & bad passes than kobe in that time. I know he didn't even touch it in the last 10 secs many times with wade.
