Spurs are -205 on DK to win the series, that’s not a huge favorite. OKC was like -600 last year vs Indiana, that is a big favorite.

They should be a bigger favor with the way everybody is hyping them up. Knicks are going to break my heart. Revenge for 1999 I guess

I don't think the Knicks get more than 1 win if I'm being honest.
Maybe game 1 if the Spurs are just still leg weary. Maybe game 4 in a 3-0 deficit just to avoid the sweep.
But, a sweep by San Antonio is definitely a possibility.

The Spurs should be favored but no way the Knicks get swept. They are all on all time heater right now and are playing as a unit as good as any team in recent memory.
An all time record point differential margin right now. You can say the teams they have faced aren't as good and that's true but that point differential is the highest ever even including the regular season, not just playoffs, No team has ever whooped up on even tanking teams in the regular season for as long as the Knicks are whooping up on playoff teams.

I see it differently. I see the play in the West being significantly above the play in the east.
NY will be rested. It’s the only advantage I see.
I hope you are right. Would love to see a competitive series.

Of course it is. The west is way deeper and the Knicks avoided having to play the Celtics. But it doesn't change the fact that they were dishing out arse whoopings to playoff teams every single night.
I think the Knicks would have been heavy favorites over the Blazers and favorites over the Wolves. The Blazers won a game off the Spurs and the Wolves won two. Add to the fact that the Knicks beat them 2/3 in the regular season AND they have only gotten better, I think this is more likely to go seven than it is a sweep.

...I just don' think that will be meaningful when they have to match up with San Antonio.
Unless San Antonio just can't shoot from the outside, I don't see this being a series. If they shoot it like they did against OKC, I think 4-1 is likely.
Just one opinion.

How you feeling about this after game one?
Went about as I expected. Knicks experience and physicality matter. And blowing through the East was not a fluke.

Sure. The postseason has its own categories when tabulating wins/losses and statistics.

Was happy to see the Knicks pull off the win. But, if I'm being honest, it doesn't change too much about how I think the series will ultimately go.
San Antonio couldn't shoot. Unless it keeps shooting at that level, I think they will control these next games.
Hope I'm wrong. Would love to see a game in NY with the Knicks in a position to win it.

After watching the Knicks last night and the grit, grind, toughness, determination, mental fortitude. I think this team is going to hard to beat.
The Spurs did not shoot well, but neither did the Knicks. I think this is a very even series.
You could see the pressure getting to the Spurs at the end of the game. But that happened against OKC and they came back and won the series.

I wasn't replying to this as a "ha you were wrong" type post btw. Was just genuinely curious how you were feeling after game one.
That was a great game. Hope the rest of them are this good. This game makes me think the Knicks can for sure win the series though. Not saying they will, but I think it goes 7.

didn't take it that way
I've been wrong my fair share of times and I'm hoping I'm wrong here because I'd love to see a good series and have a general dislike for San Antonio.

Knicks d deserves some credit for that.
Thats also one of the worst offensive games the knicks have played during this 12 game heater.
