How in the hell was Nebraska a touchdown FAVORITE in this game? If I were a degenerate gambler, I would have at least made some of my money back with this game

Scott Frost has about 9 minutes left of being a coach

Who would want to go there? Nine wins with Bo was considered to be grossly unacceptable and they would have just fired the Nebraska golden boy that is Scott Frost.

This is what I was saying. When the Nebraska job comes open, the pool of applicants will probably suck. Who would want to risk their career trying to turn that ship around?

I saw Nebraska fans on Twitter saying to throw everything at Matt Campbell... Matt Campbell isn't an idiot. He isn't going to risk his reputation on Nebraska.

Say the Iowa State job did come open at the same time Nebraska did. I guarantee you Iowa State gets a better pool of applicants than Nebraska would, despite Nebraska having more resources, money, and a better outlook in terms of their conference future. That's how far Nebraska has fallen as a coaching destination.

Name a Big 12 job that Nebraska is better than that isn't Kansas. I'd argue if any of the 7 non Kansas Big 12 leftover jobs came open today, they'd get a better applicant pool than Nebraska.

In Illinois' defense they've been using their backup QB for most of the game.

I have to admit, I thought this board gave Frost too much criticism for being a bust considering Nebraska's acknowledged disadvantages, and the mess he inherited from Riley.

However, today has been pathetic. It's like zero progress has been made since he took over. They look listless and undisciplined.

And Illinois defense of this thread title, they cleaned it up a lot in the second half and played pretty well. Remember, it's still August and these are college kids.

Texas fans will be saying the same thing in 10 years when they lose to Vandy two years in row.
