Since this is the 3,456 topic started about bowl games, this is the final truth. Bowl games are going NOWHERE! There is enough interest in the games, and ESPN and other networks would much rather have a bowl game going than some talking heads show. If you don't like them don't watch. Are they like they were in the 80's, 90's, 00's, or even 2010's? No. Will they ever be again? Probably not. They aren't going anywhere.

Just quit bowl games and conference title games and extend the regular season by a week.

Yall whine a lot.

I enjoyed the Pop Tart bowl.

Are the bowls polished products on the field anymore? Probably not.

Will I watch the train wrecks. As long as they are close then yes.

So again, you are saying that every position except for QB should be able to opt out of bowl games? If Nabers was LSU's "leader" would your opinion change?

I think it’s case specific. Don’t be obtuse.

So what makes the two situations so different? The only two reasons you've given so far is that Cam is a QB and supposed to be a "leader" and Malik is a WR and not supposed to be a "leader".

The majority of the seniors aren't opting out.

Ok so you just think that quarterbacks shouldn't opt out of bowl games. Got it. So I assume you believe that Jayden, who was not only a Heisman candidate but a Heisman winner and leader of the team, should not have sat out of last year's bowl game. Both were on the #13 teams in the country so their situations were almost identical, except for the fact that Cam Ward had the opportunity to break an NCAA record.

no. I think it’s better if you just don’t play at all.

Weird stance to take. Not sure if you have a problem with it because it's the quarterback and a leader or because he played half of the game instead of none of the game. You've said both but haven't criticized any LSU players that did the exact same things...

Only if they count towards the regular season standings. May as well get rid of bowls altogether.
