I don't hunt much anymore so to me, in October my golf season is cranking up a notch. It's cooling off, it hardly rains and it's still enough daylight to spend an hour at the range after work. You can pretty much get on anywhere and it's not very crowded.

Same here. When I was doing bow, black powder, and big rifle it stopped.

I've laid off the whole year of hunting last few, and played more.

This is the best time of year for golf.

No doubt...

Damn roof leaking where it intersects with my Chimney. Woke up at 4 am to a drip coming through my ceiling.

Go out and envision driving the green on that hole.

High draw with a mid iron should hit the fairway, release to the green, and nestle up by the cup for a tap in eagle. Be one with the ball, swing your swing, and cheat if that shite doesn't work.

lol. I've gone over the tree a couple of times to cut the dog leg and closest I've gotten is about 30 yards from the front of hte green. the course is soaked to the bone now. I'm going to play tomorrow afternoon. should be nice.

That course looks like it would drain well.

yeah right. most of the fairways drain ok but there are too many low spots and a couple of greens that puddle up. it will be fine tomorrow and actually other than the native areas won't be that muddy. lot of dry air moving through

I haven't played in the rain since I was little. Seeing those dudes in Atlanta has me thinking it has to be miserable.

nice to have another guy holding an umbrella over you and drying off your clubs on every shot. a little different than when you or I play in the rain. I can play in a soft drizzle but anything more and I'm packing it in. I don't tempt lightening. almost got boomed by lightening 2 years ago at the club championship standing just outside the clubhouse. knocked me 4 feet back.
