Broke into the 70's this morning for the 1st time ever. 1st time to play in 3 weeks, longest I've been w/o playing this summer.
Shot 79 @ Northgate CC (Creek to Bunkers courses)
Par 70
Had 2 birdies
Hit all but 3 fairways and had 27 total putts
My GIR sucked but I scrambled

Feels pretty badass to be in the 70's doesnt it?
My two best scores have been from scrambling well. Getting up and down for par around the green is key. If you can get up and down from around the green, it's no different than two putting from a 20+ foot birdie attempt.

Wacky day. 44-41 with three doubles on the front. the doubles were idiotic short game mistakes. I struck the ball so well today and threw it away with idiocy on the front nine.

4 doubles and no birdies will make for a bad score.
none of my doubles involved penalty shots either that's what makes it so frustrating. I was 157 out on a 512 yard par 5 and made par.

Man that sucks, I can't stand slow play. The longer I have to think about a shot the worse it will be.

me too. I grip and rip. sometimes it goes crooked, but how fast I decide to hit it has nothing to do wit that
