Well, I showed up to the Island today just to say hey to all the Sherwood guys and eat breakfast.
Fast forward and hour, I've had no lunch and am in a cart heading to the first tee without hitting range balls...

I worked on 100 in, sand trap, and putting.
Then we hit balls on the range. Then I grabbed a few brews, took Doc out on the course just to show her L'Augusta and hit #6 to see what hybrid off the tee would give me into the pin.

I went to hybrid on that hole. Last week was my first bogie in 6 rounds. Usually leaves me around 150. Driver is almost guaranteed in the water right. Just can't help it.

I just got this hybrid. I smashed it 230 off that tee. I'll never hit a 3w off that hole again.
I bled a little right, just off the fairway, but still got it on the green in reg. I can think of a few other holes out there I'll use it off the tee on as well. Like #2.

our director of Golf was hanging out with us thursday night in my neighbor's pool drinking beeers. I'm about to start working with him on 120 and in.
he takes you out to a real green and lets you hit numerous wedges of differnt shots (quarter, half, full) and lasers your distances so you will have a variety of shots from inside wedge land..also going to work with him on chipping/pitching.
I'm not hitting it all that great right now and my scores are a bit lower the past two weeks. If I can get sharper from inside 120 I will be single digit HC

Had 5 birdies today and missed a couple of short par putts to shoot 76. I have been tearing up these new ping answer irons.

lately anything inside of 85 yards I feel like Im gonna hit it inside of 5 feet. Ive been so money the last 6 or so rounds from there its crazy. Ive almost holed out from inside 110 probably 6 times in that 6 round stretch. Im talking about 50-110 yards not just like chipping in from just off the green

congrats... you just figured out the key to lower scores. If you can hone your wedges and learn distance control (backswing length) for all the wedges in your bag your opportunity for birdie putts per round just went up.
One tip I'll offer on wedge play... always play a 3/4 wedge when you can versus trying to hit a full wedge. So, if a 3/4 56 degree gets you 90 yards and a full 60 degree gets you 90 yards go with the 56. You'll have a shorter swing, lower ball flight and much more control.
Wedges and putter are the real scoring weapons in your bag.
