Just play Chenault by the airport in Monroe! I used to love playing that course when I went to school up there.

Impossible. I dont care what you've heard. Some days you just can't mow. Rain, equipment failure, aerification, etc. And the fact that it would even be close to possible to do it year around should tell you all you need to know.
Grass never goes dormant there, growing season is every month. Not May to September.
Oh, and it looks like greens fee is $225.

most courses posted green speeds in the pro shop everyday.
Doesn't mean it's not fudged.
Stimpmeters were never intended to measure green speed. It's gotten out of control.

beaver creek is going to deep punch 3 Mondays in a row, super wants to get a better sand base that organic base, that's what pro told me. what say you Bama?
Controlling organic matter buildup and thatch is a big issue. Probably just needle tining them, they should heal within a few days. Long as you don't pull cores when punching it won't be as bad.
A week or two after his last punch, I bet those things will be amazing.
LINK / - We are doing research on this machine. Would be perfect for what he's wanting to do. Just $$$.

Well that makes it tough to compare to beaver creek and Santa Maria

Posted greens fee is $225. Membership wasn't available.
But still that puts their budget probably around 1.5mil, if not more.
Whereas, I would bet most courses around BR (public) wouldn't come close to half of that.

All three Mondays? That would certainly get some more sand in there.
I bet its a core aerification on first Monday followed up with hollow or needle tine. But I could be wrong.

It's pretty cool. Guy from Memphis comes down and does it for us when we need it for research. He says he's gone all the way to Oklahoma to do it. He's staying busy this summer. Lotta courses are doing it a few times a year or whenever they punch.

Latour speeds are always up there. Most days turnt up to 11, some days 12

Playing Magnolia Grove this weekend.
Haven't gotten to play it in forever and I'm pretty pumped about it.
Bama, you need to come down to Meridian and tell the people at Briarwood how to maintenance their course. It was decent when I first got here two years ago but it just seems like they're trying to hard at this point.
Granted, I can't complain too much, green fees for 18 is like $45.

Only $26 green fee, reviews are pretty brutal

It would be equivalent to a BREC course around here.

Frenchmans Bend wasn't bad the last time I played. They also have Lake D'Arbonne (sp?) which is a 9 hole.
