Nothing on the radar, but a 40% of showers in South Louisiana today.

Basically a summertime forecast.

The Committee still could have made the distinction that everyone, including those who had already played 4 holes, would start playing LCP. It wouldn't be unfair, because:

You can never change to ball in hand mid-round.

Link?

It's a Committee decision, they can do whatever they decide.

It's not explicitly detailed in the Rules either.

Any of you fools playing in the Budweiser/Bradley 4-Ball at Oak Knoll?

It's the same weekend as the Webb Open.

$500/team

Flighted, and it pays out:

1st: $800
2nd: $600
3rd: $400
4th: $200

..for each flight.

..and it has a huge calcutta as well. The guy who sent me the invite said they had $20K (in the calcutta) in his flight alone last year.

He said it was the best 4-ball tournament in the region.

It's a shame they waste it at Oak Knoll.

Basically, the USGA recommends that everyone play the holes under the same rules. So the two options they really had were to have everyone switch to ball in hand on the first hole no one completed (would have been stupid), play the ball down (probably not possible) or start over (smart decision).

I had this discussion with a rules official before during a rain delay. It's why the PGA Tour starts rounds ball in hand if there is a chance of a significant downpour.

It's poor planning by the LGA

I used to get an invite every year, but haven't since I moved out of state. I'd love to play in it again. The calcutta is great.

I got an invite to the Peach 4 ball at Squire, but it's on a week I can't do

Okay, dumb question. What is a Calcutta? I haven't played in any tourneys outside of my junior golf and BREC stuff...

Basically an auction where people bid on your team. They take all the money that was bid and put it in a big pool. Then the whoever bought the teams that won get the money
