Probably because most people hit down with a forward press and you want to hit the driver on the upswing.

My good friend absolutely loved Squire Creek. He had a job there, but got married and is still here in Starkville. But he did just land a job at Old Waverly.
It's on my list of courses to intern at when I come back around the southeast.
I never saw it when it was in Chattanooga at the Honors, either time. I never followed or even knew Tiger Woods was in town when he won it there. And the other time, I just couldn't make it out.
On another note, has GolfChannel always had coverage? I've always wondered why they didn't show more college golf. I'd watch that more than most of the EuroTour and LPGA stuff they show.

That's what I thought. I remember when Alabama lost to Texas in the final a few years ago. I watched Corey Whissett hit under his chip behind #18 green on some crappy NCAA stream.
