Well that just shows how important short game is. By good friend drives the ball 300+ and I'm Farley short at 265ish, however we still shoot the same score bc his short game bleauxs

I wouldn't call 265 off the tee fairly short.

Short game is everything in golf. It can save your arse when you blow up a hole. Having a great short game is how you become an elite golfer. Of course easier said than done

I stunk it up at tpc la today. Was embarrassed to be out there - short game was crap.....long game was crap...putting was not too bad...

I did the same thing around here today. Was feeling pretty confident heading to play with beard in Florida, and that all went down the drain. Gonna need a few good bounce back rounds this week.

Been playing PH almost exclusively lately. Greens are starting to come back. They were in terrible shape a couple of weeks ago. Been walking 9 3-4 times a week and haven't seen much hard pan. The bump in membership fees has seemed to make a difference thus far. You know it's $85 a round now for non members right?

I finaly got this far into the thread and saw that...should have read all the way first. I'll take avg. length and a good shortgame anyday over long hitter with no short game. Unfortunately I have none of it right now. 3 weeks since playing, can't get any practice time in this week between work and all of the end of school things I have to go to and going play Carter Friday with a vendor.
